Music at Skypark Concert Sunday Sept. 28

Scotts Valley’s biggest outdoor concert series, Music at Skypark, returns for its final concert this summer on Sunday, Sept. 28.  The free concert will feature two headliners who have performed multiple times at Music at Skypark: opening will be Joint Chiefs, a versatile dance band that has developed its own signature sound performing since 1990, followed by Extra Large, with its driving, high-energy blend of funk, blues, reggae, Latin beats, jazz and soul.  This will be Music at Skypark’s biggest concert of the year.

Music at Skypark sponsor Kiwanis of the Valleys is joined by local restaurants to serve food and beverages to concertgoers, with net proceeds supporting the music programs at local public schools.  Music at Skypark has now raised over $80,000 for our public schools.

Come out and support local schools while enjoying Scotts Valley’s premier community event and outdoor concert series, Music at Skypark -- always FREE and on the grass at Skypark in Scotts Valley, from 3:30 to 7:00 on Sunday, Sept. 28.

sveflogo1.jpgSVEF Supporting Your Children from Kindergarten through Graduation!

Did you know that Scotts Valley Education Foundation is the only non-profit that supports Scotts Valley kids from the day they start school, up until the day they graduate?  SVEF currently pays to keep the school libraries open, provides GLAD training for teachers and school counselors for our kids. That's why it is so important to support SVEF through donations or volunteering.

SVMS Site Council

Parents, Teachers, Community Members and Students-

The SVMS Site Council is proud to deliver the results of the 2013-2014 school year survey. The Council wants to thank all that participated and congratulate Seabright Academy for such a fantastic job with 100% OF PARENTS completing the survey. A few of the key points we would like to showcase are that the students continue to find both a challenging and supportive atmosphere at school, and that they are most engaged by both the athletics and dances at SVMS. The online tools THAT are available continue to be utilized by most students and there is still high use of the Binder Reminder.

Please feel free to dig into the data as provided in the links below and the Council is happy to answer any questions that you may have. We are looking forward to once again utilizing the information gathered to strengthen the ties between the students, administration, teachers, and the greater Scotts Valley Community.
